Mao and Ambedkar

Is there any parallel between Ambedkar and Mao Tse Tung? Yes both were inspired and influenced by the great American thinker John Dewy. Ambedkar have mentioned about Dewy in his writings. But Mao did not. During the time of Cultural Revolution Mao have initiated many reforms in Education. He was against exams and testing.
