Mao and Ambedkar

Is there any parallel between Ambedkar and Mao Tse Tung? Yes both were inspired and influenced by the great American thinker John Dewy. Ambedkar have mentioned about Dewy in his writings. But Mao did not. During the time of Cultural Revolution Mao have initiated many reforms in Education. He was against exams and testing. " Testing treats students as enemies and is often launched against them in an ambush" he wrote in 1964. " Opposing direct instruction was advocated by capitalist educationist as early as the May Fourth Movement" said Mao. "The capitalist educator Mao referred to was John Dewy, who lectured at Peking University in 1919 when Mao was an assistant librarian there " said Yong Zhao who has written an important book ' Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Dragon?'
